Definition of “Done”
When starting a new project, clearly identify what’s included in the project and what’s not. In other words, what are the conditions for the project to be considered “done”?
Pro Tip: Focus on truly required things and leave out wishlist items to prevent scope creep.
In your Project Quartz journal, write down these conditions. And feel free to check them off along the way as your project progresses.
Once you meet all the conditions, congratulate yourself on being “done.”
Variation: Definition of “Success”
This is the essentially the same as Definition of “Done,” but involves defining upfront what will constitute a “success.”
