Funeral for Something Lost
Cultures around the world provide much guidance for mourning the loss of humans, but much less guidance for mourning other losses.
Whenever you lose something (e.g., a job, an opportunity, a relationship, a prized possession), take time to mourn that loss, perhaps drawing on the wisdom of your culture or other cultures when it comes to grieving practices.
For example, you might consider:
holding a funeral/memorial/celebration of life for the thing you’ve lost
writing and delivering a eulogy
burying or burning something symbolic
lighting a candle or creating an altar
crying/raging/letting your emotions flow
In your Project Quartz journal, reflect on a recent loss, and how you can most effectively mourn it.

If/when inspired, after you’ve mourned your loss, reflect on that experience in your journal too: was it freeing? Calming? Cathartic?
