Mood Music

Music has the power to make us feel.

This tool harnesses that power via playlists.

Pick three moods you want to enhance or invoke, then craft a playlist that will help you do that. For example, you might create a “Happy Playlist,” a “Calming Playlist,” and an “Energizing Playlist.” (You’re welcome to give them more creative names!)

Note: If curating music isn’t your jam, you can use your favorite music services to find existing lists of mood music.

Whenever you want to enhance or invoke that mood, simply press play!


Variation: That’s My Jam!

We all have songs that when they come on, we think, “That’s my jam!”

While not officially recognized as one of the universal emotions, “That’s my jam!” is a unique flavor of human experience that’s worth adding more of to your life.

Make a playlist called “That’s My Jam” that’s nothing but songs that are “your jam.” Whenever you want to experience this feeling, pick a song and turn it up!
