Space to Breathe

When designing a storage solution, aim to fill each container (e.g., shelf, cabinet, drawer, box) to no more than 80% full. This will give you and your possessions space to breathe.

It’s important to note that the goal is not to then fill the remaining 20% with more stuff in the future: the goal is to always maintain this space to breathe.

In your Project Quartz journal, reflect on how it feels to have space to breathe. If possible (i.e., if you haven’t already started), take before and after pictures to compare how the space feels when it’s overstuffed compared to when there’s space to breathe.
