Unplug Yourself

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
— Anne Lamott

When you’re feeling overwhelmed, take Lamott’s advice to heart, and unplug yourself for a moment.

Depending on the particular situation, this might take a variety of forms, but could include: stepping away for a moment, taking a few deep breaths, or recentering yourself with an affirmation or mantra.

In your Project Quartz journal, brainstorm several ways of unplugging yourself that work best for you, and several different situations in which it might be useful to use these strategies.
